In my closet
I have nothing to blog about but I need thought blogging might be a good idea today. So I thought, why not share my favourite things in my closet… Therefore, ahem ahem ahem, introducing;
My Closet (The things that matter)
1. My Converse High-tops
The newest addition to my closet and rather empty shoe rack. They are white, with greyish blue bandana designs on the side. They are perfect. If you love Converse, you’ll understand why. If you don’t…what is wrong with you?!
2. My Pumas
Now these I have loved for two years. I’ve worn them about 20 times in all that time. Black with neon red orange designs. They bend with my every move. I almost cried when we moved to Uganda and I imagined the dust caking them and turning them in to frankenPumas….shudder…
3. My Patent Leather 3’’ inch Wedges
4. My auntie bought these for me. They are pretty and HIGH! And yet I can walk in them comfortably. I’m already a little tall if you think 5’9 is tall so when I put them on I pretend I’m Iman, you know beautiful with a little class just a size 12 instead. Its fun.
Also few heels in the world can transform my feet from “been digging barefoot since I could carry a hoe” to a temptation for the pickiest foot freak
5. My Cut-off Collection
There are some people who actually go out and buy shorts. I am not one of these people. I believe that in every jean, ugly, miscoloured, questionably ragged, there is a future, there is a bright hope. To be Cut-Offs. I also have a thing for scissors
6. My Glo jeans
Everyone has got their favourite pair of jeans. That they wear practically everyday. Or if they are me, they actually put the jeans on, realize it s the third time that week and then take a look at the other seemingly sorry options up for offer. No pair of jeans has the adequate amount of pocket needed for money, phone, keys, emergency money, transport money, gum, and Chap Stick. I like that it has the traditional number of pockets then compartments within them. That way coins don’t scratch my already battered razr.
Also, when I wear these jeans, I have hips. Hips are good, especially when they’re usually inexistent.
7. My stolen t-shirt collection
This is really just the part where I visit my aunt and indefinitely borrow my cousin’s t-shirts. You would too, really, if you saw them. My favourite is this red one which says “This shirt is not red fool!” I actually haven’t admitted that I stole that one yet, so let’s keep it on the DL.
8. My brown party dress
Ok, I’d try to explain this one but words are simply not enough. With #3 I feel absolutely fantabulous.
