Life in all of its complexities
Not everyone who is for you is actually for you. There is the internet to give the actual quote I am paraphrasing but I’m writing this on a whim, before the thought leaves me completely and I’m never able to properly able to verbalize what I am forced to learn every year in one way or another.
Not everyone who is for you is actually for you. Let it sink in. Let it perforate, marinate. Submerge yourself in this thought. Some of us, for the longest time, in a myriad of ways, find ourselves idolizing a person or a relationship. We set in stone this idea that a person can do no wrong. But sometimes they can. Sometimes they wish you wrong. Sometimes they actively work against you, against you.
Sometimes it’s not intentional. It’s the way they formed over the course of their lives, where crucial pieces go missing and they don’t know or want to see if it can be glued in with molten gold. Sometimes it’s intentional because they really don’t like you, they’re jealous...I could go on and on into the whys.
