I Make You want to Read More
This is where I have written a really interesting opener. Your mouth drops open, your eyes widen. You stop what you are doing even if you were only glancing by and focus. You have to finish this. Forget your boss or your nosy workmate. Internal flip of the middle finger.
So now I’m following my brilliant opener with even more interesting bladiblah. You did not need to pee before but the suspense has you at the edge of your seat. The action has you wincing and pausing in empathetic pain. You’re even ignoring that person you have been waiting for ages to get online, the one who keeps buzzing you with that annoying yahoo buzz thing. You have got to finish this! The climax approaches but then again maybe it does not but maybe it does. Wait for it, wait for it…. You almost want to be pissed off but you’re already in it, hook, line and sinker. Your office, that squeaky chair you stole from your neighbour’s desk are all forgotten, wait for it, wait for it…Blood spurts from the remains of the fingernails you have been chewing on in anticipation…
Finally, TA DA! It is here! The climax. You knew it! Ok you did not know it but it makes perfect sense since it began so well! You continue now, eager to see how it ends, predictably? You are not disappointed. The end is a pleasurable surprise which leaves you with those shivers up your back and a goofy grin on your face. You sigh, “AAAH” and then the grin returns. Bloody brilliant! Superb! Magnifique! Incroyable! You don’t know any more French so you stop and that is when you realize your seat is wet…
